4 Ways to Stretch Your Stash

Ways to stretch your cannabis stash

After making countless trips to the dispensary, you may ask yourself, “How can I make my medication last longer?”. Lucky for you, we have several tips to help you stretch your stash!

1. Follow Dosing Instructions

Each product purchased from the dispensary has different dosing instructions. The general rule of thumb for new patients is to ‘start low and go slow’ no matter which product you intend on using. Our physicians recommend this method because it is easier to increase your dose incrementally, rather than taking too much when first medicating.

If you are using a concentrate or vape, start off with a single hit (for flower, one or two hits). If after 15-20 minutes you do not feel any effects, increase to a second dose. Most edibles tend to take around 45 minutes to reach the full effect. We recommend waiting around 45 minutes to an hour before consuming more edibles.

By following proper dosing instructions, you may surprise yourself on how much cannabis you really need to feel the desired effects and end up stretching your stash further than you once anticipated!

2. Opt for Edibles

As most cannabis consumers know, edibles tend to have a much stronger effect on patients than other methods. Due to the way cannabis is consumed in the body, edibles are known to create an overall ‘body high’ for patients. Next time you visit the dispensary, you might consider purchasing edibles to reduce costs normally spent on flower or concentrates.

3. Use A Grinder

If you are new to using medical cannabis, having a grinder is essential to making your stash last longer. Grinding up your cannabis can stretch your stash since you won’t lose any of the important trichomes that often stick to your fingers.

4. Try A Different Strain

Consider trying a different strain option on your next visit to the dispensary. Some strains are clearly more potent than others, which means you could find yourself stretching your stash even further since you can consume a smaller amount and achieve the same results as using more of a less-potent strain.

Although your medication will never last as long as you want it to, we hope that the tips listed above can help you save money, while still providing the relief you need to treat your medical condition.

If you are a qualifying patient who is suffering from one of the qualifying conditions and is seeking medical marijuana treatment, schedule a telemedicine evaluation, and gain access to Ohio dispensaries.
